Huegel’s Wattle

Huegels Wattle 1

We recently noticed this small, white flowered wattle growing in Kings Park, Perth. It has distinctive tooth shaped leaves, grows in the southwest of Western Australia and is known as Huegel’s Wattle (Acacia huegelii). Its flowering season is Oct-Feb.

This one had a little surprise for unwary insects – a tiny white spider that was initially lurking behind one of the flowers (you can see one of its legs in the photo above).
