There is quite a lot of Parrot Bush (Banksia sessilis) growing in Bold Park. This rather straggly shrub can grow to a height of about 5m. Its main flowering season is Jul-Oct, but some plants are already in flower.
The flowers seem to be especially attractive to ants.
