Yellow Buttercups

Yellow Buttercups 1

We went for a walk through the bushland of Kings Park a few days back. You would never guess that it was the start of winter – there were plenty of wildflowers to admire. Maybe the most common were these Yellow Buttercups (Hibbertia hypericoides), which were flowering profusely in the undergrowth.

They grow in the southwest of Western Australia, from about Geraldton to Augusta, and flower from April to December.
