Hairy Yellow Pea

Hairy Yellow Pea 3

We noticed lots of these Hairy Yellow Pea (Gompholobium tomentosum) shrubs growing in Kings Park recently. They appear to have small red-brown star shaped flowers, but those are actually the dried out calyx (i.e. sepals) after the flower has died and the fruit has fallen off. The plant flowers in Jul-Jan.
