Today is the first day of autumn here in Perth, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find any spring wildflowers. Yesterday we noticed this Spider-net Grevillea (Grevillea Preissii), which flowers from June to September according to the wildflower books.

At a quick glance, it looks to be completely devoid of flowers, as you would expect. But if you look more carefully, you will find a few out of season flowers, like the one below. Some plants just don’t do things by the book!
