Yesterday we mentioned that the “glabra” in Eremophila glabra (Tar Bush) means hairless and refers to the fruit of the plant. Here is a photo of the fruit, on the same plant as the one we featured yesterday, but taken back in February. You can see why they call it glabra- the fruit is almost amusingly bald, except for one “hair” which is a remnant of the flower.
